Founded in 1890 with the simple mission of promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism, DAR is a volunteer women's service organization that honors and preserves the legacy of our ancestors.

Today's DAR has more than 185,000 members in 3,000 chapters worldwide.

Organized on July 5, 2004, the Battle Born Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) was Nevada's first working women's chapter. We meet for lunch on the third Wednesday of each month at noon in Carson City.  Meetings include both chapter business and an educational program.

For information on how to join the DAR visit our National Society website at www.dar.org.
